He immediately knew he wanted to pursue music as career in teaching and performance. He completed his undergraduate program from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada and is currently pursing his graduate degree in performance from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. Having been inspired by many teachers and friends, David now seeks to share his experience and vast knowledge with everybody seeking to improve themselves and become better musicians. Great book for Musicians

I loved this book. At first I thought it was going to be a same old dry Chapter 1. Make goals, Chapter 2. Work for them. 3. Don't give up 4. You did it! over simplified type of ebook that can be common on Amazon, but it's not. The first chapter right away impressed me, as it did start with the "Make your goals" part, but then followed it up with affirmations and directions for a specific to do list. Great ideas for making your goals really come to life, not just crap you write on a page and then never look at again.

After that first chapter, it really delves into very specific and musician focused ways to improve. Specific tips like using your metronome, slow and fast practicing, how long you should spend on certain practice areas, ear training--and really just some specific, great tips that musicians really can employ and use to hone their craft.

Fantastically helpful book for any musician who wants to improve!

This book teaches you different methods to practice music. I wasn’t so keen on the motivational part, although I understand that it is a big part of it, because then you might as well buy one of those general motivational books. But the specific methods to practicing music were very interesting, and that’s why I think this book deserves 5 stars.

Useful for beginners who are building vocabulary

Useful for beginners who are building vocabulary. The approach taken by the authors is to encourage the reader to move through the text without stopping constantly to look up unfamiliar words. Given the high level of interchange between English and French words, this works well. Then every few pages there is a break in the short story narrative where translations of parts of text and difficult words are provided along with short tests of comprehension. The stories vary in level of interest, but are compelling enough to keep you going.

I bought this book for myself, trying to learn a new language is hard. Especially when I already speak 2 other languages. Either way, I found this book to be helpful. I was able to easily understand what the author meant in the words. The multiple choice questions were also very helpful and a good tool. A good book to have I definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn French and try a different method of teaching.

This book will be beneficial for everyone who wants to learn French in an enjoyable and uncomplicated way.
I never thought I would be able to understand French texts so soon in my learning process. But the way this book is set up made it easier for me.
The different stories and chapters in this book had the perfect length. It wasn’t too long or too short. After each chapter I could check if I was on the right track. This way I had a feeling of achievement every time I finished one, and could actually figure out what the story was about.

The stories themselves are entertaining as well! The best thing this book did for me was boosting my confidence. I would highly recommend this book, as the method in this book will teach you French a lot faster.

Pretty Boring book

I read the whole book, but it was pretty slow at times. I had to force my way through a lot of it. I found out a lot more about Harold Lloyd though, so I guess the book accomplishes what it set out to do. I'd say it is for hardcore Harold Lloyd fans only.

If you don't know much about Harold LLoyd, get this book, because you will know a lot after you read it. A first class biography of HL that answered a lot of questions that I had about the early years of Hollywood.
